Princess Offiong Ekanem Ejindu (popularly known as Fifi Ejindu) was born in June 1962 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, into a royal family. Her grandfather, King James Ekpo Bassey, was the traditional ruler of Cobham Town in Calabar while her father, Professor Sylvester Joseph Una, was a university professor at the University of Ibadan.

She is a Nigerian architect, businesswoman and philanthropist.

Fifi attended the Senior Staff Primary School at the university campus of the University of Ibadan and later attended secondary school at Queens College, Yaba, Lagos. She graduated with a B.Arch from the prestigious Pratt Institute School of Architecture in Brooklyn, New York, and is the first black African woman to do so. She also has a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from the same Institiute.
